hi everybody welcome back to my channel if you are new oh my name is Lauren and I do videos about home cleaning and lifestyle here on YouTube I would absolutely love to have you as part of my little YouTube family so make sure you hit that subscribe button and leave a comment down below introducing yourself now today's video is one of my absolute favorite videos to watch right now it's e what's for dinner video and I don't want to waste any more time so let's just get on into it so it is Friday night so we are making one of our absolute favorite dinners my husband request this dinner any time I ask him what he wants and it is nachos and I actually posted a picture on my Instagram of my nachos like a couple months ago and everyone wanted to know how I made it so I actually have like a highlight on my Instagram on how I make these so if you follow me on instagram you've probably already seen this but this is our favorite so what you're going to need is some ground beef we got 80/20 and you can also do ground turkey but it definitely tastes better with ground beef and you're also gonna need some taco seasoning some guacamole sometimes we make homemade guacamole which always tastes a little bit better but we're just going the easy route tonight and then you can use que so however we I'm lactose intolerant so queso doesn't sit well with my stomach but shredded cheese doesn't really bother me typically I like to use mild cheddar and then something else normally I like to use pepper jack but they didn't have that so we're using cheddar jack and then a red onion a green onion and a tomato and some sour cream and chips these scoops scoops chips seem to work the best but any will do and then we also have some margaritas that my husband made the first thing we are going to do is brown our beef and add our taco seasoning queso let's get started now if you want your presentation to be nice which I feel like normally when I make this I do try to make it kind of pretty this was that's the kind of person I am I like when things look prettier but also the reason I started doing this is because I don't really like sour cream but I do think it's like a necessity on the nachos but I want the tiniest amount possible so I actually put this in here and a great tip – like piping something is just putting a plastic bag into a cup and then I scoop some sour cream in here and then I cut the tiniest little hole and actually like squirt it on top of the nachos and that way there's not a ton in certain spots it's like evenly distributed but then it also looks really nice now that my ground beef is all done and I also have all of the produce washed and cut up into small pieces and then I have my sour cream in here I'm going to start assembling the notches so now that you've assembled it with the tortilla chips the ground beef and the cheese you're gonna put it on broil in the oven now make sure you watch it you can definitely do this in the microwave obviously not with the foil but make sure you watch it when it is in the oven on the broil because it honestly only takes about a minute for the cheese to get melted any longer than that and it will get hot and burnt in a hook step so keep an eye on it so I'm just gonna put this in the oven on high make sure you don't add your produce or sour cream or anything like that prior to putting it in the oven okay so now that the cheese is all melted I'm gonna go ahead and add all the toppings so I always just spoon on the guacamole [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] and this is it it is so delicious I highly recommend it it so simple and yummy and look how colorful and pretty it is we love this dish in our house [Applause] okay so here is my taste test even though I've had this a million times I sure hope that like shock the help that it is mmm just the combination of all the things that's they just all pair cell all together it's so so yummy hmm so today I'm gonna make some chicken bacon ranch sliders and I actually got this from one of Kristen steps what's for dinner videos I will have it linked down below she was one of my favorites for the what's for dinner video she has so many great ideas so I just have some croissants that are already cooked from like the bakery section some ranch mild cheddar cheese slices some already cooked bacon and then she used deli meat chicken but I'm actually using a rotisserie chicken that I kind of shredded and some tinfoil so now that I have sliced them on half I am just going to add some ranch dressing to both of the sides next I'm just going to add my cheddar cheese slices a couple pieces of bacon and some chicken and then close them up now you'll notice I made a modified version right here that didn't have baking them had only a little bit of chicken on it that one is for my almost two year old son and I'm actually those sprinkle some mild cheddar cheese on top I don't want to add like a whole another slice I feel like that might be overkill but I am just gonna do a little bit more cheese now that I have them all individually wrapped I am going to put them in the oven at 350 for about 15 minutes so I wanted to do a test taste test on this video because I love when people like actually show their self testing out the food so I'm gonna set you down on my computer yeah that's right mmm I cooked it over how good it is tell them that is so good definitely definitely make this is so yummy Thank You Kristen for the recipe so it is Saturday night so we are gonna have something really yummy I'm gonna make some baked ziti now I used to make to you all the time and for some reason I haven't made it in like a couple years so I'm excited for it and I will have the recipe link down below for all the specifics you are going to need some parmesan mozzarella the recipe does call for ZD noodles but they only had penne at Aldi and then pasta sauce this is my favorite pasta sauce from all deeps the four cheese some ricotta cheese some tomato sauce Italian seasoning two cloves of garlic one onion we love onions though so I usually always double the onion amount and then the recipe calls for half a pound of ground beef this is two and a half pounds so I'm not going to use all of this just some we are actually eating so so late I wanted to wait until William to bed to start cooking and wait it's a late night and so yes I'm starting this at 10:00 p.m. but the first thing you're going to do is start the oven and preheat it to 350 so the first thing you're going to do is get your water boiling and add your pasta now I would recommend cooking this for about two minutes less and the packaging says or like for mine it says 10 to 12 minutes I'm gonna do 10 minutes you want it to be al dente because it is gonna cook a little bit more when it's in the oven now on medium heat you're gonna cook your beef onion and garlic until the beef is browned so my pasta is ready and sitting there and my beef is browned so now I'm going to add the tomato sauce as well as the pasta sauce and the Italian seasoning so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to take a cup to two cups of this mixture and put it in with the noodles and stir everything around and then I'm going to do a layer of the noodles into the casserole dish with a layer of sauce and then cheese and then the noodles again with sauce and cheese now I wanted to give a quick shout out to my friend amber who is also going to be doing a what's for dinner video today and me and amber actually having any unique relationship because not only am i friends with her on YouTube but we have actually met in person a few times and hung out and went to lunch and I just think she is so amazing I love her as a person and I absolutely love her YouTube channel she does tons of what's for dinner videos as well as cleaning videos and the most amazing DIYs she is so incredibly talented and I would love for you guys to go over and check out her what's for dinner when you're finished watching I will have it linked down below in the description I know you guys will love her as much as I do so now you're just gonna add a layer of mozzarella and parmesan and then put it back in the oven uncovered for ten more minutes so that the cheese can get off early and dewy and crunchy and stuff like [Applause] so this is the final product so we have a heartbeat CD and then I also just made some garlic bread that's from Aldi and I'm gonna try this I'll let you know how it is huh oh this was such a pain in the butt to suck I don't know why it was a simple recipe but for some reason like everything that could go wrong was going wrong and now it is 11:46 p.m. insanity thankfully it's Saturday night but stuff okay so update it's actually really really good really good so I do recommend it it wasn't the recipes fault at all ah the recipe link down below it was just like a lot of stuff going on in my kitchen but this is so good so I definitely recommend this so it is Friday night again you'll notice in this what's for dinner video that we're making a lot of unhealthy food we don't eat like this all the time but for some reason I only ended up filming on the weekends for this what's for dinner video so my husband actually picked out what we're gonna have for dinner tonight and we've never had this before he was looking online and ends up on Pinterest and I think it was called Philly cheesesteak tacho so like tatertot nachos and I'm not following a specific recipe because basically all what the recipes were is that you cooked the tater tots is normal cuz the steak is normal cook all of everything is normal and then you kind of layer it in a pan and cook it in the oven so that it can make like nachos but with tater tots so that's what we're gonna do we have used the Statham's before though and we love these so highly recommend these so what I'm gonna do is I'm going to go ahead and bake these as the bag says I'm also going to make the steak comes as the box says too and then I'm going to slice up my green peppers and onions and saute these and then we'll go from there okay so they're cooked to my liking so I am going to remove them from the heat let this pan cool just a little bit and then you know clean it off a little bit and start cooking the steak up there so now that I have the tater tots that I've already put in the oven I put the oven down to about 400 degrees I'm just going to see how that works and now I'm basically gonna layer everything so I kind of diced up this steak a little bit so that it's smaller pieces I'm gonna sprinkle that on top sprinkle the onions and green peppers and then also do the provolone cheese and I think I'll do a little mozzarella as well and then I'm gonna do another layer of tater tots and so on and then put it in the oven and I'll let you guys know how long I put it in the oven for I'm just gonna wait until the cheese melts and then take it out update we have been eating this and it is so so yummy I don't even really like tater tots but I like this my only thing that I'm a little disappointed is the cheese didn't melt like as Julius I would want to and that could just be because my cooking time was off I also forgot to mention that I probably put this in for about five minutes at 400 degrees so either my cooking time was off and that's why the cheese didn't melt good or also because these were slices I feel like if you used a block of cheese and shredded it yourself it would probably melt a little better but it was so so good you
