Hey my lovely foodies, welcome to Kanak’s Kitchen Today I will be showing you some useful Kitchen Tips Part 1 was already released earlier Let’s see what are these tips Whenever you buy spring onions from market Chop them roughly and store in any glass jar Cover it with lid properly Keep it in refrigerator This will increase the lifespan of it Whenever you get extra lemons from market They tend to turn dark & ripe fast Keep them fresh for a longer time by wrapping with a clingwrap or newspaper This will increase it’s lifespan and will remain fresh for a long time You can put 6-7 cloves in the Sugar jar & mix This will prevent ants from coming in the sugar While boiling the green peas, add a tsp of sugar & mix This will retain the bright green colour of the peas If you do not have an egg seperator, then use any light bottle and Invert it upside down onto the york Press slightly & release it to suck the york The york will be easily seperated without any mess or smell Whenever you buy Paneer from the market for later use Soak the Paneer completely immersed in water & refrigerate it Keep changing the water everyday until you use it This way you can store the Paneer for almost a week To get rid of the burnt food inside the microwave & it smells badly Mix 1/2 cup lemon juice/vinegar with 1/2 cup water Microwave it for 4-5 mins Carefully remove the bowl Clean the microwave with any damp cloth to remove stains & odour Whenever you get extra lemons from the market Squeeze them in a bowl Strain it Pour the juice in any ice try Freeze overnight You will get these beautiful frozen lemon cubes Store in a ziplock bag & use later for dishes, cocktails & mocktails….. Similarly you can also use this tip for sauces To preserve ginger garlic paste for longer time Add a tbsp of hot oil & mix Store in any airtight container in the fridge Cut the top & end of the onion & then peel & cut Wash the cut onions under running water Then slice them This will stop your tears while chopping To make crispy pooris Add a tbsp of semolina/fine sooji or 2 tbsp rice flour in the wheat flour Knead well While kneading the wheat flour add some warm water along with some warm milk Then let the dough rest for 20 mins This will give you soft Chapatiis When you prepare green chutney Add a pinch of turmeric powder & a tsp of lemon juice & mix This will retain the bright green colour of the chutney To get rid of burnt & sticky foood from any vessel Place a few pieces of chopped onions & pour water in it Let it boil for 3-4 mins Then clean with any powder or liquid soap If you have any leftover cookies/brownies they go stale quicky Put them in any airtight container with a slice of bread This will keep them fresh for a longer time Whenever you grate the cheese with grater It becomes sticky & messy For this brush some oil over it This will prevent the cheese from sticking When ever you use half block of cheese It tends to become dry To stop this apply the cheese with some oil/butter on the cut side Then wrap in any foil or clingwrap You can freeze the coffee flavoured water in any ice tray Freeze it over night You get these coffee favoured ice cubes which will enhance the flavour of the coffee & will not make it watery When you cut the potatoes for deep frying Soak them in cold water for 2-3 hours This will remove the excess starch & making them more crispy after frying To increase the sharpness of the blades of the blender at home Put a cup of regular salt in it & blend This will increase the sharpness of the blades You can do this every month When ever you pre cut your salads Drape it with a damp cloth/napkin Then cover it with a clingwrap & refrigerate it This will keep the cut salad fresh for almost 5-6 days To peel the garlic skin easily Warm the garlic cloves for 15- 20 secs in microwave You will see the skin peeling of easily without any difficulty Then refrigerate in any airtight container Whenever you get extra grapes from the market You can freeze them overnight You will get frozen grapes for snacking during summers Also you can put green grapes in white wine & red grapes in red wine for making it chilled After eating Banana do not throw the skin Banana peel is loaded with potassium It can be used to reduce wrinkles & puffyness by rubbing it around the eyes While cooking the cabbage Add a Bayleaf & cook This will reduce the smell during cooking & will give it nice flavour Whenever you buy fresh corinader Clean it nicely under running water & remove the excess water Cover it in a damp cloth/kitchen towel Put it an airtight container or ziplock bag Refrigerate it, this will keep them fresh for long Add 1-2 dry red chillies or 2-3 bay leaves in the dal container This will keep away the bugs from coming into the dal Also the dals you are not using can be stored in the fridge Similarly add 2-3 bayleaves in the box of flours To keep away the insects & bugs getting in Add 2 pinches of salt in the oil before frying & mix This will reduce the amount of oil soaked by the food Place the rolled puris in the fridge for 10 mins before frying This will ensure that the puris consume less oil And they will turn more crispy Whenever you fry the Paneer for any gravies It tends to become chewy & rubbery after reheating After frying remove them directly into the salted warm water This will keep the Paneer soft, moist & juicy for a longer period of time As the hot Paneer will absorb all the moisture I have received a lot of requests to make videos in Hindi I have tried this today with this video Hit the like and subscribe to my channel.
