Male Speaker: Congratulations, 100th episode.
Simon Baker: Thanks, yes. Male Speaker: It’s a great club to be in. Simon Baker: Well you know, it’s just a number. Male Speaker: Well what can you tease
about what’s going to come up in the – I think it’s an origin episode, right? Simon Baker: Yes, it’s kind of – it’s like
a – it takes place even before the pilot took place so it’s like eight years earlier.
I don’t know how we’re going to pull that off physically but it’s a good
episode, it’s interesting. Male Speaker: Had you already had in mind
how that sort of episode that meet between those characters would look like? Simon
Baker: Yes, in a lot of ways I did, yes, in my own mind but then obviously the
writers had something else in their mind and then we compared notes
and see how it turns out. But I’m happy with it, I’ve seen it, I’ve seen it kind of and we’ll see. Male Speaker: So when you’re going through
this journey of a hundred episodes on or off screen there are a lot of moments
that probably stick with you. Which one, if you could, would
you like to really — Simon Baker: Off screen stuff sticks with me. Male Speaker: Which one would you
like to relive if you could? Simon Baker: I think probably my experience
of meeting Bruno and David Nutter who directed the pilot and when we
first sat down together I had just gotten off a flight from Australia and we sat
down that afternoon, it’s a 12-hour flight, and talked about the character when we were working on the pilot,
before we even started shooting. It was like we started shooting
the pilot three days after. Male Speaker: And so a lot of theories
about who Red John is, do you know who Red John is? Simon Baker: No, they won’t tell me. Male Speaker: No one wants to tell you. If you knew would you tell me? Simon
Baker: I can’t, I’d get into a lot of trouble.
