Meet Brad Lukas – Hospital Administrator and Baker Graduate

Beaumont Troy is a magnet facility that’s one of the highest recognition that a hospital can have. Our O.R. is really busy we have a very busy emergency room hundred thousand visits one of the busiest in this area. Emergency room, the best E.R. in the state. I think it’s perfecting my craft as a leader. I had talked to a lot of my mentors and they had recommended an MBA. That’s when I really started my search for the best degree that would fit my, you know, needs in my professional goals and that’s how I you know came across Baker’s MBA program. I think the MBA at Baker really balanced me out to understand that ok, we want to take really great care of our patients but if we don’t have a business model behind it then we can take care of anybody because can’t pay our staff. I chose Baker for the curriculum. They look at what you’re gonna need and a lot of different MBAs are general. In my…the curriculum Baker I felt that a lot of the things that I was doing in school I could directly translate into what i was doing in the hospital. People that have been through the program, that will just really rave about the program. You know that’s me now. I tell people if you want a great MBA…and I’ve referred four or five people, check out Baker’s program. They can compete with other universities in this area that cost two, three times the amount. I was recently recognized by dBusiness magazine “30 in Their Thirties”. This is something that I’ve read, you know, over the years and said man that would be an awesome accomplishment if I could ever be in there and alotta just really great professionals across all different spectrums. So, to be in that article really was was a humbling experience. I was just thrilled. Well if you ask me I’m not here today if I didn’t learn everything I did at Baker.
