hello guys, welcome to Akis kitchen.
today it’s a special episode because I will show you how to make burgers in
only 15 minutes. we’ll make caramelized onions crispy bacon very nice and juicy
burger will make all the compliments and let’s start. first I have to turn on the
heat nonstick pan on and we will leave the pan to get extremely hot.
I would thinly slice the two onions and normally in England when you are making
caramelized onions we use butter but here is Greece so we use olive oil 2
tbsp will be enough. and the onion goes in and I have to help the onions to
caramelize so I will add two to three pinches of sugar and two tablespoons of
balsamic vinegar. and let’s carry on to the rest of the
ingredients. cold pan and I will add my bacon. one and a half slice of bacon is
enough for one burger, I will make four burgers so I need six slices. you need
always to start with a cold pan because this gives time to the bacon to become
more crispy. let’s carry on with the rest of the ingredients. of course we need the
best quality of beef ask your butcher to give you the best quality. and I will
separate it into four burgers but I will not press them at all. can you see that?
this is the biggest tip to make fluffy and very tasty burgers. just simply touch
the meat like you doing with ladies and for the perfect burgers
we just need salt and pepper. the meat is so tasty by its own so we don’t need
to add anything else. just make sure that the salt and pepper goes everywhere but
do not press the meat. let’s switch the pan and let’s turn over the bacon, is
almost ready. Can you see that? crispy crispy and look at the onions. can you see that?
give it some time and the onion will become so so tasty. my bacon is
ready, so I will take it off the heat but I will leave the pan on the heat,
because at the same pan with this lovely fat from the bacon I will cook the beef.
take the meat, put it on the pan. can you see that? and now take a spatula and just
press it. this way, you will make the perfect caramelization of the meat
outside. now, my onions are ready so I’ll take them out. my bacon is ready. I will
put my pan on the heat again, some olive oil to the pan and crisp my burger buns.
press it a little bit. my buns are ready from the first side
and look at this. don’t worry if the meat break in some places. please do not press
it because this is the way that it will become perfect. now, flip them, and look
at that. this is what we want at burgers, this caramelization. this way, the meat will cook perfect and
it will stay juicy and tasty. the first buns are ready. a bit more
olive oil inside the pan and I will carry on with the rest of the buns. press it a little bit. now it’s cheese time.
one and a half piece of cheese, good quality of cheddar. and it’s time to
actually assemble all the burgers. the buns are ready. I will lower the heat
here, so I will let them cook inside very very well and I will add the bacon at
the top of the burgers. I will turn off the heat and I will let the burgers for
two minutes there, to let them rest a little bit and the temperature from
outside will go inside. now, I will slice my tomatoes, one two three four, and I
need a nice chopping board. nice chopping board here. so one two three four, just a
splash of mayonnaise. please do not put too much mayonnaise, just this should be
enough. a bit of barbecue sauce or ketchup, depends on the tastes. it’s time to serve these bad boys. and I
need to add my final touches, caramelized onion, we need some veggies, so tomato is
here mr. tomato and mr. iceberg is here. so I will put the buns on. this is the
perfect burger. can you see that? look at this. I’m just
pressing and all the juice from the burger it goes straight to the bun.
now I have prepared some lovely cucumber pickle. you can find the video how to

how the paradise should look like. like four burgers with some chips and some friends to join this happiness.
some ketchup here, some mayonnaise here. look at this. and what can you say for this
loveliness? and I will cut it in half because it’s
impossible to put all this burger inside my mouth. look at this. you can feel actually the taste of the
meat just salt and pepper, caramelization outside juiciness and tasteness from
the inside. we add a bit of cheddar cheese, a bit of bacon, a bit of everything and
actually this way we put the burger here: at this level. because this is the best
